The Friend. Akash Dhaiya played the role of Gopal, Rajaram’s best friend and confidant. In the film, Gopal is the one who introduces Rajaram to the world of pulp fiction, encouraging him to write what the public wants rather than what the critics want. Dhaiya’s portrayal provided much-needed comic relief and represented the voice of the common man in the narrative.

The film creates a compelling duality in Rajaram's life:

“Randeep Hooda played Mastram.” Fact: False. Hooda was considered for an early draft, but never cast. This confusion may stem from Hooda’s role in Mastram (a different, shelved project by another director).
