Set several centuries before Columbus, the story follows a young Viking boy named Ghost who is left behind after a shipwreck. Raised by a Wampanoag tribe, he grows into a warrior caught between two worlds. When a new wave of Norse "Dragon Ships" arrives to pillage the land, Ghost must use his knowledge of both cultures to lead a guerrilla-style defense. The film is less of a historical document and more of a dark, graphic-novel-inspired survival horror, utilizing a desaturated color palette that emphasizes the harsh, wintry wilderness.
